This is a really lovely antique circa 1910's powder, rouge, mirror and coin wristlet compact dance purse.
 
It has a gorgeous engine turned silver and gold design, with a gold washed interior. It also has a little red guilloche medallion on the lid.

The edges on both the top and bottom of the compact have a repousse design; and the piece has a hook style closure that works well to keep the compact closed securely.

It opens to a clean gold wash interior with an square mirror that opens to a loose powder compartment underneath it.  It also contains a solid rouge and solid powder compartment, and two spring loaded coin compartments for dimes and nickels. 

The only issue we found is a chip out of the guilloche medallion on the lid.  Otherwise this piece is in excellent condition, and all closures and hinges work as they should. 

The purse measures approximately 3 inches in length, not including the chain and closure, and is about 2 inches in width and 1/2 inch in depth. The closure adds another 1/2 inch to the purse.  It has a delicate gold tone wristlet chain that measures approximately 12 inches.
